The 24th Best Album of 2025
Another day, another emo album on the best albums of 2025 list. What a triumph of a year. This time our emo comes distinctly slacker rock tinged in the form of Weatherday's Hornet Disaster.
The sophomore project by this Swedish outfit follows up 2019s Come In, which people also dug and which i should probably go back and listen to. This album is long. 19 tracks and over 70 minutes, but it mostly uses it well, the lo-fi production somewhat belying the noisy energy this carries. I do think if im being picky its a bit too long and one or two tracks could be left off with little to no great alteration. But the album rocks, another stellar rock album in a year with a surprising amount of them.
