The 33rd Best Album of 2025
Continuing our emo theme, the 33td best album of the year is I Felt Like A Sketch by Key vs. Locket. Where Apiary blended emo with indie rock and trended on the screamo side, IFLAS (im not typing that out again im doing this on my phone lol) is just straight Midwest emo. Honestly most emo music made after the year like 2008 sucks ass. Have you heard hot mulligan? How are those dudes popular Jesus it sucks. Maybe im just a jaded old guy lol.
Also key vs. Locket has also released music under the name twikipedia, experimenting with a ton of different genres to varying levels of success. I think this is the release i dig the most overall and captures the essence of Midwest emo exceptionally well. It could be higher on the list on a different day, ah the ever changing whims of musical taste.
