The next entrant in everyone's favorite category - 'late 2000s pop icons who also released a dope album in 2025' is........Lady Gaga! Her new album Mayhem came out in March and while Miley found a new sound, Lady Gaga went back to the well and just put out an album of catchy, bangin pop music. Phenomenal choice tbh.
Honestly Miley's album is probably more interesting musically. But hearing Lady Gaga dial it back to 2009 and just put out bangers like abracadabra, disease, and garden of eden really brought me back to a time when life was simpler. It was a needed dose of nostalgia in the face of uncertain times. If you dig the fame/born this way, you'll probably like this, or at least find some tracks you dig. If not, you're a trash person who doesn't deserve to be reading this list.
