The 42nd Best Album of 2025
The countdown rolls in as we enter our 'late 2000's pop icons who also put out dope albums in 2025' section and we begin with Ms. Hannah Montana herself. Miley Cyrus's Something Beautiful.
Yes, really it's actually pretty dope. Miley has gone through quite a few stylistic changes over the years and for this album landed on an art pop/rock-ish vibes that also has some psychedelic leanings while also getting in on the new wave disco vibes championed by Jessie Ware (what an absolute legend by the way) and Dua Lipa. The production is also on point and the high-points, including the title track and Walk of Fame which features another dope pop artist Brittany Howard, are super high. Like some of the better pop tracks of the 2020's high. Unfortunately the low's are also pretty forgettable and drag it down a bit. But overall easily the best album Miley has put out and a well-earned spot on this prestigious list.
