The 45th Best Album of 2025
The 45th best album of the year belongs to Sudan Archives and her album The BPM. I first heard about Sudan Archives in 2022 when her album Natural Brown Prom Queen got a good bit of attention during my re-dedicating myself to finding new cool stuff to listen to and..I wasn't really into it. I kinda want to go back and listen now and see if this newer album just vibes better with me or if I'd dig the old one with new perspective. Who knows. This is a fun Alt R&B/dance/club pop album, high energy as the title suggests. The back half of the year felt a little weaker to me overall but provided some good dance/club type albums including this one. It does get a little repetitive at times i feel like and runs a bit too long, but still an album I'm glad to have listened to this year.
