Kent Quasar: A Conflagration

The 47th best album of 2025

You're probably thinking, 47? What the fuck who makes a top 47 list of the year. And to that I say, yeah it's pretty stupid. I'm sure there will be 3 more albums before the end of the year that are pretty cool, right? Right?! The oneohtrix point never album thats coming out seems like it could be dope. Maybe that will make the list. Such is the struggle of being hassled by a fkn loser to put this list out ASAP.

Anyways, the list starts with an album that many people will say is the best of the year. One that has been called album of the decade by chronically online losers. Quadeca's Vanisher, Horizon Scraper.

This album is a 70 minute exploration of a lot of genres and ideas. Some may say, too many genres and ideas. Me. I say that. Sometimes it's just too much. There are some cool ideas here, and honestly the first time I listened to it I did enjoy it overall, the tone of this review is probably too negative for my actual feelings. It's an album worth listening to, especially considering where Quadeca started and where he's at now. It's pretty crazy to go from "Bad Internet Rapper" (literally the title of his first album btw) to this. It's interesting, and clearly a ton of work went into it which is commendable. But I think it ultimately tries to do too much and ends up washing out a bit. There are some cool features by artists that will be further up on this list.
